Within the GlobalStars initiative of EUREKA, Japan will be launching a common call with the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Spain, Canada, Israel and the UK.
Starting in early June, companies from Japan and the abovementioned EUREKA member countries are invited to submit joint project proposals in the research and development of innovative products and applications with a strong market potential.
The call for proposals will be an open call inviting projects from any sector area except for nuclear technologies and pharmaceutical technologies. Proposing consortia must involve at least one company from Japan and one from the above-mentioned EUREKA countries. For more detailed qualification criteria see the attached pre-announcement text.
Call launch: early June
Submission deadline: early September.

Companies from the above EUREKA countries are recommend to contact their national funding organisation. The call text will be available on the EUREKA Website after the opening of the call.
To inform about the call, the EU-Japan Centre has organised a Webinar on 28 April jointly with EUREKA and NEDO. The recording of the Webinar and the slides including contact details for national funding organisations are available here.
The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is planning to support partner search for this call throughout the call period from early June to early September.
