ELIGIBILITY
All companies in the industrial or service sector and architectural practices within the EU are eligible.
In particular, we welcome applications from eastern and Baltic countries.
The traineeship should be R&D oriented. (Special consideration will be given to companies prioritizing sustainability).
Through fulfilling the assigned tasks, the trainee should be given the chance to optimize and implement the specific knowledge he/she acquired at university.
Companies must be ready to integrate the trainee(s) into their team. (In fact, a major reason for Japanese students to apply is to gain an understanding of European approaches to team-working, decision-making and intercultural exchanges, which can be achieved through working within a team).
Important notice
'Vulcanus in Europe' is, in principle, open to all EU27 member states.
However, visa and work permit – applicable rules depend on national legislation and may evolve.
The EU-Japan Centre will reconfirm the compatibility of Vulcanus in Europe in your country, through liaising with your national authority in September/October.
Based on our past experience, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that potential difficulties may only be notified to the EU-Japan Centre by then (October).
One of the selection criteria will be the compatibility of Vulcanus with the rules in force at the time of the selection.
