The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation organised the EU-Japan-Africa Mission 2022 (online event) during the week of the 7th EU-Africa Business Forum.
Virtual workshop - EU-Japan business cooperation in and with Africa
On 14 February, the EU-Japan Centre organised a virtual workshop within the 7th EU-Africa Business Forum on the topic of EU-Japan Business Cooperation in and with Africa. It was the third most attended workshop with 507 participants.
During the workshop, the EU-Japan Centre announced the launch of its new helpdesk supporting EU-Japan buisness cooperation in and with Africa, as well as with Southeast Asia and Latin America.

Virtual booth and networking
In addition to the workshop, the EU-Japan Centre took part in the 7th EU-Africa Business Forum as an exhibitor and showcased its activities through a virtual booth.
EU-Japan-Africa trilateral business matchmaking
On 18 February, the EU-Japan Centre organised a virtual B2B matchmaking to connect European companies with Japanese companies to discuss joint projects in and with Africa. The participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs*) was strongly encouraged. African companies looking for international partners also joined the matchmaking. This matchmaking event was organised as a side-event of the 7th EU-Africa Business Forum. The business matchmaking event was free of charge.
