The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, together with Qunie Corporation and the Asia External Representation of the African Development Bank, organised an Official Side Event of the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8). The side event was a webinar that aimed at promoting the development of Africa's economy and society through Africa-Japan-EU trilateral business cooperation.

During this webinar, several companies and funding organisations from Japan, Africa, and the EU showcased examples of business success stories of trilateral cooperation and presented opportunities for companies interested in being involved in these types of projects.
The EU-Japan Centre organised this webinar in the context of the TICAD 8, which is one of the largest international conferences about the development of Africa and which has been led by the Japanese government since 1993. TICAD 8 took place in Tunisia on 27-28 August 2022.
This webinar followed previous actions related to Africa-Japan-EU trilateral cooperation run by the EU-Japan Centre during the following events:
