Last April, the Ambassador of the European Union to Japan Jean-Eric Paquet signed with Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige, Secretary General of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, the contract confirming the EU’s participation in the event, which will run for 184 days from 13 April to 13 October in the city of Osaka.
The expo’s theme, ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’, particularly resonates with the EU, as it works with international partners including Japan to harness the world’s knowledge in such areas as cutting-edge technology to create and share new ideas to tackle the global challenges that currently face humankind.
The EU is looking forward to taking part in this exposition, not only to showcase its own actions but to also present together with the 25 EU Member States that are also participating as ‘Team Europe’.
