EU Ambassador to Japan Visiting the Centre
On 28 September, the newly appointed EU Ambassador to Japan, Mr Jean-Eric Paquet, visited the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation head office in Tokyo for a presentation of the Centre's activities to support the cooperation between European and Japanese businesses.
The EU and Japan open Horizon Europe association talks
Leaders at the EU-Japan Summit taking place in Tokyo agreed to start exploratory talks on Japan’s possible association to the EU's key research & innovation funding programme Horizon Europe. Association is the closest form of international cooperation on research and innovation with third countries, and it could pave the way for an intensified cooperation in research and innovation between the EU and Japan.

Joint venture established in 1987 by the European Commission (DG GROW) and the Japanese Government (METI) for promoting all forms of industrial, trade and investment cooperation between the EU and Japan.

 

The EU-Japan Centre’s activities are subject to the allocation of a Grant Agreement by the European Commission for 2024-2026
