Restarting Lean in Europe visits
Getting back to the Gemba with PakMarkas. After a 3-year absence, the EU-Japan Centre restarted its Lean in Europe visits to facilitate the sharing of ideas and discussions around lean and improvement with a visit to Lithuania.

It specializes in the manufacture and commercialization of freeze-dried products; a technique initially developed by NASA. Geld Baltic has been step by step developing its strategy to access the Japanese market during the past 2 years.

In its ongoing efforts to help European SMEs to access the Japanese market, the EU-Japan Centre is co-organising "Export Support" (online) workshops in cooperation with the EU member organisations of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) (https://een.ec.europa.eu/). These (online) workshops may include the following: sectorial information on export-related procedures, opportunities offered by the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and Japanese business culture.
