On 13 November, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, together with the Delegation of the EU to Japan and the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ), held a seminar on “EU CBAM and its implication for Japanese companies” in a hybrid format.

N-SIDE, a Belgian scale-up providing software and services for leading energy players to solve complex issues through better decision-making, and Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX), the only power exchange that facilitates the trading of electricity in Japan, jointly announced their collaboration last June.

EU-Japan Green Transition Matchmaking – joint efforts for green economy business partnerships
With a combination of online matchmaking events and hybrid fair participation, the EU-Japan Centre, joined by partners in Europe and Japan, supported the creation of business partnerships for a greener economy.

(this project is completed) From September 2020 to October 2021, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation coordinated the organization of a series of events and activities aiming at strengthening the cooperation between Europe and Japan for climate action, covering topics such as the links between trade, industry and climate, the acceleration of renewable energy deployment and the role of local governments in low-carbon transition.
