JTPP Helpdesk continuously monitors Japanese public sector tenders that are open to foreign companies and creates weekly digests of tenders with business opportunities for European SMEs.

The digests include not only invitations to tender, but also prior information notices and requests for comments published by Japanese government entities at the central and the regional level.

Most of the tenders included in the tenders are selected from the English-language JETRO procurement portal, however the Helpdesk also monitors tenders at mostly Japanese language sites such as Chotatsu portal and Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

As JETRO notices in most cases does not offer direct links to further details available online, JTPP Helpdesk adds further information about specific contracts in its digests, allowing subscribers to make an assessment of whether the contract is a potential business case for them, without having to search elsewhere.

The Digests contain tender announcements related to a wide range of sectors such as IT, Research & Development, railways and construction services. It will also provide information about what kind of companies are eligible and the method used to determine a winning bidder.

Although the Digest will consist of contracts primarily open for SMEs, it is available for free for all companies headquartered in EU Member-states. The Digest is made available each Monday in an Excel format, that allows easy filtering of tenders.
