Part III provides an analysis of the market for nuclear decommissioning in Japan, outlining the demand for specialised technologies in specific projects. Part IV briefly discusses the most suitable strategies to enter the market. The Report concludes with a number of recommendations, underlining that the structure of the nuclear industry in Japan and the closed procurement preferred by the utilities means that the most promising business opportunities for European companies are to be found in the area of subcontracting, fundamental R&D and consulting services.
