The BRT's current Working Party 3 (WP3) addresses "Digital Innovation & Mobility" issues and prepares recommendations to the Government of Japan and to the EU Authorities on these topics.

The BRT has addressed some 'ICT' issues since 1999 when it had a working party devoted to 'e-commerce'. Over the years the exact title of the working parties have evolved to reflect their changing remit.
