EPA Helpdesk Webinar 19: Services & Finances

April 07 2020

07-04-20 | 10:30 - 11:30 AM CET

How does the EU-Japan EPA impact the various segments of the finance industry?

The financial industry consists of a broad taxonomy of diverse market actors, large and small. While the industry consists of many different segments, the language of the EU-Japan EPA is written in such a way as to be broadly inclusive of the industry as a whole. The EPA covers market actors ranging from fintech start-ups, to professional financial advisors, to the blockchain & cryptocurrency and the peer-to-peer & crowdfunding landscapes.

This webinar is part of a series of webinars by the EU-Japan EPA Helpdesk. Each webinar will address a different topic or sector and will look at the changes the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement will make and the opportunities it will create. Each webinar will be accompanied by a factsheet and a practical guide. For more information on the EPA Helpdesk please click here.

The webinar is targeted to both EU financial industry companies interested in the Japanese market landscape, and EU SMEs wishing to access finance services.

Topics covered:

  • The relevant parts of the EU-Japan EPA, and understand how its language applies to your business context
  • The various market actors in the financial services and fintech industry
  • The EPA treaty-coverage impacts on various SME-dense segments of the financial services and fintech industry
