In the framework of the EU-Japan Days organised by the European Commission (Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMES) on the occasion of EXPO MILANO 2015, the EU-Japan Centre has supported the organization of the business seminar “EU-Japan Business Opportunities in Biotech and Agro-Food related Sectors”, on 10 July 2015. Open to EU and Japanese companies and businesspeople interested in this field, the seminar has provided an exhaustive update on the European Commission and Japanese Government tools for internationalisation (in particular for SMEs), and on the business environment between the EU and Japan, especially in the biotech and agro-food related sectors. Participants could also meet Japanese and European counterparts during the B2B sessions in order to discuss concrete cooperation projects in business, technology transfer or research.
