Japan’s food industry, like in any other country, is closely related to its economy. Just like the rest of the globe, this industry has been heavily affected by the global pandemic starting in 2020. Slowly but surely the industry is recovering and overall sales are increasing. Food service industry stakeholders are now pursuing new business models by expanding takeout and delivery options.
