The financial industry consists of a broad taxonomy of diverse market actors, large and small. While the industry consists of many different segments, the language of the EU-Japan EPA is written in such a way as to be broadly inclusive of the industry as a whole. The EPA covers market actors ranging from fintech start-ups, to professional financial advisors, to the blockchain & cryptocurrency and the peer-to-peer & crowdfunding landscapes.
