This webinar will not dwell on the popular assumptions about the cultural differences between Japan and Europe. Rather we aim to approach the matter of divergence from a fresh perspective by probing the differences in the underlying assumptions pertaining to the actual business challenges as experienced by European companies dealing with Japan and Japanese firms active in Europe. Integral to our approach is the inclusion of Japanese perceptions of the same kinds of business situations, whereby we probe the very contrasting Japanese perspectives on business communication, decision-making, trust and strategic planning. With the aid of conceptual tools and models we will suggest a variety of ways to navigate the essential business challenges as experienced by European companies dealing with Japan.
The webinar is targeted to EU companies seeking a fresh perspective on how to enrich cross-cultural collaboration with Japanese partners.
