Similar to Europe, Japanese government organisations are obliged to purchase the goods and service they require via public tendering procedures. The public procurement market in Japan has been estimated at over €220 billion per year. Still, there are only a small number of foreign companies active and these are mostly large multinational enterprises.
Smaller foreign companies often find it hard to assess the potential of the government procurement market and tend to depend on trading companies to have their products marketed. The Japan Tax and Public Procurement (JTPP) Helpdesk offers various free services to make the step to enter this market easier with market information and concrete support services during a tender. Part of this webinar is an explanation of these services.
The webinar is targeted to EU companies seeking to do business with Japanese government organisations.
