The Directorate General for Research and Innovation's mission is to develop and implement the European research and innovation policy.

The Directorate General helps to harness information & communications technologies in order to create jobs and generate economic growth; to provide better goods and services for all; and to build on the greater empowerment which digital technologies can bring in order to create a better world, now and for future generations. 

Delegation of the European Union to Japan
This diplomatic mission has several aims, including representing the European Union, as appropriate, in Japan and informing the European Union on political, social, economic, external relations and trade developments in Japan and, in this regard, maintaining contact with the principal players in the fields of politics and public life generally, the economy, business, civil society and higher education.

European Business Council in Japan
The European Business Council (EBC) is the trade policy arm of 17 European National Chamber of Commerce and Business Associations in Japan and has been working to improve the trade and investment environment for European companies in Japan since 1972. 

Enterprise Europe Network - Japan
With over 600 partner organisations located in 52 countries, the Enterprise Europe Network is the largest network of contact points providing information and support for SMEs in the fields of international business cooperation, innovation, knowledge and technology transfer and cooperation in EU programmes. 

Eurostat
Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg. Its task is to provide the European Union with statistics at European level that enable comparisons between countries and regions.
