This year, at BIO-Europe in Copenhagen, the EU-Japan Centre will have a joint-booth (#44-45) with the Japan Bioindustry Association (JBA). The Centre’s objective for this cooperation is to support EU SMEs find potential partners among Japanese biotech, pharmaceutical companies and academia. The EU-Japan Centre will display on its booth over 30 Japanese companies and organisations (incl. clusters) profiles seeking EU partner. Whereas JBA will present around 20 profiles of Japanese biotech ventures member of a programme supported by Kanto Bureau of Economy of Japan.
It will be a step forward in terms of support to facilitate the partnering process between EU and Japanese biotech companies. During the event, the Centre will promote, among various support services funded by the European Commission for the benefit of EU SMEs and clusters, the organisation of its next biotech mission in Yokohama, Japan in 2019 and to present its partnering support services for EU SMEs within the framework of the European Commission-funded initiative: Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).
