Within the Globalstars initiative of EUREKA, a common call between Japan and EUREKA members (the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Spain, Canada, Israel and the United Kingdom) has been launched on 8 June 2020.
To facilitate the search for partner companies in the participating countries and the discussion of opportunities to collaborate in this call for joint project proposals, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Partners, has set up a Virtual Market place.
The Virtual Market place is set up as a long-term virtual matchmaking platform, where meetings among participants can be scheduled as a video call at any time until early September 2020. For details and registration see the website.
The call for joint project proposals is open to companies from any sector except for military, nuclear and pharmaceutical applications. It is targeting research and development of innovative products and applications with a strong market potential (TRL technology readiness level of at least 5/6). A consortium should include at least two companies that are independent from each other, one company for Japan and one company from one of the EUREKA member countries participating in the call. Deadline for the submission of proposals is 10 September 2020.
Project partners are strongly advised, prior to submitting the application, to contact their EUREKA National Contact Points (funding organisation) in order to check the eligibility of their project. For more details on eligibility criteria and contact information of each national funding organisation, please see the following page.
