Organisation of logistics is one of the most important steps that an enterprise has to consider. This involves activities that concern the process of planning, implementation, and controlling the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption, and perhaps to its ultimate point of disposal as well. Find out more about Japan's transport and logistics sector below:

About Transport & Logistics

Despite the challenges posed by Japan’s diverse landscape, the country has an extensive transport and logistics network. In terms of transport, the country is extremely well served by airports, railways, expressways and ferry routes. There is also a wide choice of dedicated logistics companies which serve personal and business needs. This section also introduces some other type of logistic support available when starting business in Japan. To find out more, please click on the link below:

In 2012, Japan's automotive sector employed over 5.45 million people and was worth some 47.3 trillion yen. Both its exports and imports (mainly from the EU) are currently increasing despite Japanese consumers’ strong preference for “buying Japanese”. The sector is heavily influenced by new environmental standards, which are the most stringent in the world. For more information, please see below:

About Automotive

Japan's high-tech car industry is pioneering electric vehicle use, installing charging points and attempting to set a new global standard. Japanese laws regarding car emission levels are different from the EU's and are not standardised, so it is important to ensure that your products meet both Japanese and EU emissions standards.
